Monkey Purple was formed in Soddy Daisy, TN after Mandel’s band Pictures of Lenny disbanded. Mandel and Andy Brock joined up with Mikey Greene. Mikey had previously been in multiple bands with Mandel, including Pictures of Lenny’s first lineup. During their short time as Monkey Purple, they were able to record a good number of live albums that were stored away until 2026.<\/p>\n
